The development of renewable energy in the country requires diversification in financing basket
In a meeting with members of renewable energy associations and private sector activists in this field, the head of SATBA said that diversification of financing methods for the development of renewable energy in the country is very necessary and important.

According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Office of SATBA, on Wednesday, January 26, the Deputy Minister of Energy and Chairman of the Renewable Energy and Electricity Efficiency Organization, attended a meeting held in the Iranian Chamber of Commerce with members of renewable energy associations and private sector activists in the field.
In this meeting, first the representatives of renewable energy associations and the private sector addressed the existing issues in development of renewable energy in Iran. They also raised their questions about the programs being developed for the development of renewables, and then expressed their interest and support for solving the existing problems and the development of renewables by providing relevant proposals.
At the beginning of the meeting, the head of SATBA explained the current situation and the ongoing development programs, noting that the development of renewable energy is currently being done only through government funding, which is a serious threat. He considered the restrictions for the development of renewables in the country and stressed that diversification of the financing portfolio in this area is very necessary and inevitable.
In this regard, he described exporting renewable electricity, supplying the part of the electricity of high-consumption industries with the construction of renewable power plants, extracting digital currencies by use of renewable electricity and similar models that can be implemented in medium and small industries, as some solutions. He enumerated the action taken by SATBA and asked the associations and representatives of the private sector to participate with SATBA in this important matter.
Mahmoud Kamani also regarding the development plan of ten thousand megawatts of renewable power plants through financial resources resulting from Article 12 of the Law on Removal of Barriers to Competitive Production, added that following the significant response to the call made by SATBA, after exchanging memoranda with applicants, we are pursuing obtaining the necessary permits in order to present the model of the executive contract and we hope that by benefiting from the financial resources of the mentioned law, we will be able to realize a significant part of the proposed program.
