“46 renewable power plants with a total capacity of 147.2 megawatt with an investment of 1514 billion tomans were constructed and put into operation by the private sector in 2021.” said Mohammad Satkin in the closing ceremony of the Ministry of Energy’s plan that was held with the presence of the Minister of Energy.
He added that the total capacity includes 32 solar power plants with a capacity of 89.2 MW, of which 16 megawatt are rooftops, 5 wind power plants with a total capacity of 12 MW, 5 small hydropower plants with a total capacity of 9.17 MW and one waste heat recovery and 2 turbo expanders a capacity of 19.2 MW.
Referring to the statistics of power plants, he added that in the first months of the Persian year, a total of 10 solar power plants with a total capacity of 77.3 MW and 2 wind power plants with a capacity of 50 MW are expected to be put into operation.
“In the new year with a growth of 450 percent, that is, with a 4.5-fold increase in government resources, we will see significant growth due to the addition of financial resources from the saved fuel." he mentioned.
