Launching the ninth solar renewable power plants in Yazd province

The Director General of Public Relations and International Affairs Office of SATBA announced that: “By connecting Yazd’s ninth solar power plant with the capacity of 10 megawatt to national electricity grid of Iran by January 20th, the capacity of renewable power plants of this province will reach 75 megawatt.”
Jafar Mohammadnejad Sigaroudi said that in order to fulfill the goals of constructions in Energy Ministry's A-B-Iran Program, the capacity of renewable power plants of the province will be 75 megawatt after finishing the construction of 10-megawatt power plant in Ardakan and its connection to national electricity grid.
Stating that Yazd is one of the pioneering provinces in development of renewable power plants, he added that 8 solar power plants in megawatt scale with total capacity of 61.5 megawatt in Ashkezar, Ardakan, Dehshir, Mehriz, Chahak, Nir and Fahroj regions in Yazd province have been launched and operated.
He also added that by operating this power plant and with the capacity of solar rooftops in Yazd, the total capacity of renewable power plants will reach 75 megawatt which can inject more than 122 million KW/h electricity via renewable power plants of this province to the national electricity grid annually.
