The process of construction of 50 megawatt wind power plant in Sistan and Baluchestan province in Mil Nader region was visited by Head of Energy Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly.
Public Relations and International Affairs of SATBA reports that Chairman of the Energy Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, Governor of Sistan and Baluchestan Province, representatives of the province in the Islamic Consultative Assembly along with Deputy Minister of Energy and Head of SATBA visited the 50 MW Mil Nader wind farm on September 17th 2020.
The report adds that the construction process of this power plant in Mil Nader region is being done by installing 20 turbines (2.5 MW) by Mapna Company and it is the largest wind power plant in the southeast of Iran in terms of capacity.
According to wind assessment studies in Sistan and Baluchestan province, Mil Nader region with the largest potential of wind energy provides a good opportunity for investors to construct wind power plants and make a significant contribution to supply part of the electricity required by this province. The development of this power plant in a deprived and underprivileged regions of Sistan and Baluchestan province, along with the possibility of exporting electricity to neighboring countries, will lead to the development of the province and increase security in the region. Therefore, following the implementation process of its construction is of special importance for the Energy Commission.
