The contract for the construction of a 50-megawatt wind farm with 2.5-megawatt units located in the Mil-E Nader region in Sistan and Baluchestan was concluded with Mapna.
Public Relations and International Affairs Office of SATBA reports that the meeting focused on the construction of the largest wind farm in the southeast of Iran with a capacity of 50 MW, that the contract has recently been signed and concluded.
According to the terms of the contract, 20 wind turbine units each with a capacity of 2.5-megawatt manufactured by Mapna Company along with other ancillary equipment will be installed in the Mil-E Nader region of Sistan and Baluchestan province.
According to the report, Dr. Aliabadi chairman of Mapna and Dr. Satkin, Deputy Minister and Head of SATBA while discussing the common areas of cooperation, put emphasis on increasing the capacity of 2.5 MW wind turbines which the technical knowhow has been localized by this company.
It is worth mentioning that Mapna Company, as the largest manufacturer of wind turbines in the country, relying on local knowhow has dedicated the highest capacity of wind power generation in the country by constructing wind farms with a total capacity of 105 MW in Qazvin and East Azarbaijan provinces.
