Referring to the overall development policies of SATBA, the Deputy Minister of Energy and Head of SATBA said: "Development of macro, medium and short term plans, regulations and related guidelines in the fields of renewable energy development and promotion of energy efficiency based on the decisions of the Policy Council are still on the agenda of SATBA.”
Public Relations and International Affairs Office reports that in an interview with the Ministry of Energy, Mohammad Satkin described the future prospects of the SATBA program in the two areas of renewable energy and energy efficiency and expressed hope about the capacity of non-governmental sector and added: "Regulating and revising the regulations related to concluding power purchase agreements from the non-governmental sector and monitoring the issue of purchasing electricity from renewable and clean energy in a guaranteed and long-term manner will be one of the serious fields of activity of this organization."
Referring to slogan of “Jump in Production” for new Iranian year by Iran's Supreme Leader, the Deputy Minister of Energy stressed the need to support the localization of renewable and clean power plant technology.
Satkin added: "With the launch of #Every Week A_B_Iran campaign in the Ministry of Energy, SATBA has taken steps to improve the production capacity and quality of life of people by launching 10 renewable power plant units in 2019. This year, as part of last year's campaign, the opening of renewable projects in line with the policies of the Ministry of Energy will continue.
He concluded by saying that renewable energy, with its nature such as flexibility, cleanliness and job creation, establishment and sustainable income in deprived areas, will achieve the goals of economic, social and environmental development. Emphasizing the need for development in this field, he added: "In the field of improving energy efficiency, designing a comprehensive program in order to achieve efficiency improvement and sustainable development is one of the priorities of this organization."
