Environmental, Health and Safety Guidelines for Solar-Photovoltaic Power Plants

Environmental, Health and Safety Guidelines for Solar-Photovoltaic Power Plants

Upon recommendation of SATBA, the environmental, health and safety guidelines for solar-photovoltaic power plants were prepared and approved after necessary review and communicated by the Planning and Budget Organization.
According to the Director General of Social, Economic and Environmental Studies Office of SATBA: In order to identify, control and reduce the issues of solar power plants in the field of environment, health and safety, this office has put the "Environmental, Health and Safety Guidelines for Solar-Photovoltaic Power Plants" on its agenda.
According to this report, compliance with this guideline, which includes general concepts, responsibilities and methods to reduce the impact of solar-photovoltaic power plants, is mandatory since April 2020.
Although solar energy is considered to be clean and non-polluting, it is necessary to make decisions to reduce their environmental impacts during the planning phase of construction of these plants, as well as to reduce the potential for accidents and injuries to employees during the construction and operation period.
