700-hectare land in Qazvin province is dedicated to construct and develop 500 MW solar power plants and is available to investors.
According to Public Relations and International Affairs Office of SATBA, the meeting to resolve problems with license holders on renewable and clean power plants construction in Zanjan and Qazvin provinces was hold in Zanjan Regional Electric Company. In this meeting a group of managers and experts of Zanjan Regional Electric Company, Electricity Distribution Companies, Zanjan and Qazvin Provincial Investment and Land Service Center attended the meeting.
At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Elahi Moradi, CEO of Zanjan Regional Electric Company pointed to the necessity of increasing the share of renewable energy in the energy mix and the high potential of investing solar and wind energy in Zanjan and Qazvin provinces. He also emphasized that most of the relevant bodies should act in coordination with each other with the aim of attracting maximum investment in the provinces to facilitate the issuance of triple licenses for guaranteed electricity purchase.
Zanjan Investment Services Central representative then introduced the investment roadmap, a strategic action plan to guide investors in renewable power plants, facilitate investment and eliminate multiple inquiries in line with the province's infrastructure development policies in the field of renewable and clean energy.
Qazvin Investment Services Central representative stated: "700 hectares of Qazvin province have been allocated to construct and develop 500 MW solar power plants and is available to investors.”
At the end, SATBA delegates outlined the process of issuing, controlling, renewing and revoking construction licenses and discussed issues and exchanged views on overcoming the barriers for applicants who have had difficulty obtaining triple licenses. It is worth mentioning facilitating the lease of governmental land to applicants for renewable power plants was also emphasized.
