10-MW solar power plant was connected to the national electricity grid in Kurdeh region (Larestan city).
Public Relations of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Organization (SATBA) reported that the 10 MW Solar Power Plant in Kurdeh District of Larestan city was connected to the grid. The power plant is constructed on a 20-hectar land and is built by the Takht-e-jamshid Pars Energy. This power plant injects 16GWh electricity to the national grid.
The report adds by operating the power plant, annual emissions of 13,712 tons of environmental pollutants will be prevented and the consumption of 4272 cubic meters of water will be reduced annually. The power plant will also save 5.64 million cubic meters of natural gas annually in the country's electricity generation process.
It should be noted that taking into account the recent power plant, the cumulative capacity of solar power plants in Fars province has reached 58.6 MW.
