According to public relations and international affairs of SATBA, on April 28th 2019, the largest solar power plant in Fars province with the capacity of 10 MW was launched in Abadeh city. The power plant was constructed by Tamin Energy Bargh Iranian Company with investment volume of 500 billion Rials. The power plant has utilized localized technology and the capacity of Iranian designers to connect 10 MW electricity into the national electricity grid. It prevents the release of 13711 tones carbon dioxide annually. The project also avoids the annual evaporation of 4371 cubic meters of water used to generate electricity and saves 5.64 million cubic meters natural gas.
Fars province is one of the most suitable provinces in the country for the solar power plants construction due to its high solar radiation. At present, the total capacity of the renewable power plants installed in this province is more than 50 MW and 34 MW of it belongs to the solar ones. The report points out that the Tamin Energy Bargh Iranian Company has experienced the construction of four 10MW power plants, two of which have been operated in Fars province, and the other ones in Kerman province are under construction and will be operational soon.
