The first approval by the working group on the support of the technology localization was confirmed: Determining the technology rating of Mapna’s 2.5 MW wind turbine
According to public relations and international affairs of SATBA: The third meeting of the working group on the support of the technology localization of renewable power plants, based on Article 6 of the implementing regulation of Article 61 of the Consumption Pattern Modification Act was held. This meeting was held with the presence of the representatives from renewable energy and energy efficiency organization (SATBA), the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade, Innovation and Prosperity Fund, Vice Presidency for Science and Technology, and Iranian National Standards Organization.
The report adds: In order to encourage the development of indigenous technical know-how and support the local construction, the issue of applying a technology rating coefficient of 2.5 MW (MWT 2.5-103 model) of Mapna was proposed and based on a specialized report from the Niroo Research Institute, it was agreed that the technology rating of 10 could be assigned to the product.
Thus, the electricity purchase rate from the power plants using this type of turbine for the construction of their power plants will increase by 10%. The report notes that the guidelines for the promotion of the localization of renewable power plants for the implementation of the Article 6 of the enactment of Article 61 of the Consumption Pattern Modification Act have been notified by the Minister of Energy.
According to this article, renewable power plants using localized equipment will receive the incentive factor in the guaranteed power purchase rates, and according to the localization rate of the technology, the electricity purchase rate of these power plants will increase by thirty percent from the base rate.
