According to SATBA’s public relations and international affairs office, the first 5 kW wind power plant limited to the connection capacity was connected to the electricity distribution grid. It is constructed through the guaranteed PPA contract process and is installed on the roof of a house located in Zobal city. Based on the report, permanent wind potential in the eastern parts of the country, especially in Zabol, in addition to having a substantial attraction for constructing wind farms in the scale of Megawatt capacity, will also allow public applicants and households to install small-scale wind power plants in residential areas. Above and beyond, the households will not only use wind energy in electricity generation but also will benefit economic advantages. The report adds that the construction of renewable power plants in Iran, in addition to the proper use of the huge renewable energy potential sources as well as saving fossil fuels and water, it also plays a significant role in developing deprived areas, job creation, and local economies.
