Following up on the reflection of news in the field of suspending clean and renewable contracts conclusion, SATBA’s public relations and international affairs announced that in order to clarify and eliminate ambiguities in this regard, guaranteed power purchase contracts (renewables and clean) based on the requirement of Article 61 “Amendment of the Energy Consumption Pattern” which is a permanent law and it’s executive regulations approved by the cabinet of ministers, as well as in the implementation of Article 19 “Clean Air Act”, Article 50 “6th Development Plan” and Article 5 “Law on Protection from the Electricity Industry” and the statute of the renewable energy and energy efficiency (SATBA) shall be concluded. Obviously, due to the fact that the above-mentioned laws are not changed, the conclusion of these contracts will be without any changes, and its suspension will be possible only with the approval of the Islamic consultative assembly. So far, more than 600 MW of renewable and clean power plants have been operated and about 500 MW of other power plants are under construction. In accordance with its legal assignments, SATBA organization is obliged to issue a license to all non-governmental applicants for the renewable and clean power plants construction, and after obtaining land, grid connection, and environment permits, a guaranteed power purchase contract will be prepared and concluded accordingly. This legal duty is now much smoother than before, and as long as the related law does not change in the Islamic consultative assembly, it will continue. This is emphasized by the honorable Minister of Energy and also the Ministry of Energy is proud of the presence of people and the private sector in the field of renewable and clean energy. Small-scale power plants (kilowatts) which are built by subscribers are followed up, supported and funded by SATBA organization. Due to the distribution and diversity of these power plants, the power distribution companies are involved in the contract conclusion of these power plants on behalf of SATBA. Recently, the result of the receipt of the transcript from Tavanir Co., put forward doubts for a number of distribution companies in the field of the kilowatt contracts conclusion. The consequences of applicant referral and tracking of coun try oversight entities, SATBA organization held a meeting with Tavanir Company. During this meeting, Tavanir Co. assured that it did not issue any instructions to suspend the conclusion of renewable and clean power plants contracts. In order to eliminate any doubts in this regard, a letter was sent to all distribution companies.
