Minister of Energy pointed out that the solar power plants in arid and semi-arid regions in Iran can be considered as an appropriate capacity for community livelihoods. He said that according to government’s plan, I am also committed to operating it. In this government, we need to reach about 4000 MW and that’s the task which is achievable. According to SATBA’s public relations: Dr. Ardakanian spoke on the sidelines of the opening of the first solar power plant in Yazd and pointed out that, today the issue of Renewable Energy is one of the most important areas of production in Iran and many parts of the world, especially with the important role of renewable energy in reducing pollutants.
He said: The Islamic Republic of Iran’s legal liability in the Paris Convention is to reduce carbon dioxide and pollutants at about 4% definitively and 8% conditionally. In addition to that, solar power plants as a clean energy in arid and semi-arid regions can be account for a good fit for community livelihoods.
Minister of Energy pointed out the role of renewable energies in saving water and added that a good legal mechanism has been predicted for guaranteed purchases with which the respect of the respective government and especially the planning and budget organization’s more cooperation, We will be able to keep this wave of interest and attention from the private sector both inside and outside the country.
Dr. Ardakanian pointed out that, today using the slogan of planting the panel and reaping electricity has become widespread in the world. We will support and hope this will result in the sixth government plan. He mentioned that fortunately there is a good place to address the issue of renewable energy in the provinces and we owned valuable experiences in large solar farms in different parts of our country. At the same time, we will use the full capacity of the country and the private sector to generate clean energy.
Minister of Energy in another part of his speech pointed out that from the hereafter, in addition to the development of power plants and the supply of electricity for the industry to meet the needs, we need to manage consumption accordingly. He also added: we need to see how to go that way with the help of people and relying on public confidence as we are happy with the opening of new power plants and we share everything in this joy. In this way, the companies with the help of people will be able to save energy and use modern technologies. He mentioned that we are looking for a system to offer to the market which people can save the required electricity even at their owned home at a low cost and non-peak hours and use it at peak times when it’s costly.
