Deputy minister and the head of SATBA, Dr. Sadeghzadeh highlighted the advantages of renewable energies on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the 20 MW Mahan solar power plant. Based on the public relations of SATBA, he pointed out that renewable energy is a symbol of sustainable development in less developed regions of the world and Iran as well.
He noted that: “At the moment, some people lack access to electricity around the world, and renewable sources have solved this problem.”
Dr. Sadeghzadeh added: Since Iran is a developing country and nearly 100% of the population has access to electricity, we have a greater share of sustainable energy by using REs that have contributed to job creation in less developed regions of Iran. The deputy minister pointed out that REs are considered to be environmentally friendly energy resources that can be harnessed at any technological levels and there is no need for transfer fuels or energy conversion.
Head of SATBA referred to the Isfahan, Hamedan, and Kerman solar PV power plants and mentioned that: “we see many close collaboration between the Iranian and foreign investors without imposing heavy burden on the government. This cooperation can contribute to the welfare and economic development.”
